The primary objective of this position is to create advanced analytics to help enhance the strategy and tactics of the marketing and sales organization. This position is responsible for transforming data into meaningful, action oriented business insight towards optimizing resource utilization and revenue. Business knowledge and analytical expertise will be utilized to continuously assess and improve the company’s approach in brand strategy, sales force strategy, targeting, and other projects to ensure sales and marketing is performing optimally. Focus is on utilizing advanced mathematical tools (e.g. SAS) and concepts to identify and apply solutions to business opportunities, while communicating complex concepts to business partners.
Develop strategic analyses using multiple tools and concepts to address the most complex issues/opportunities as defined by the business. Work with Analytics Deputy Director and Director to propose solutions to identified business issues and identify new/additional issues for consideration by the Analytics team. Work with key internal customers (e.g. Product Marketing, Sales, Senior Management) to understand their products, competitors, product pipeline, public polices, etc. resulting in becoming a true business partner. Participate in customers’ team meetings (e.g. project prioritization, agency reviews) to better understand issues & opportunities in the business. Lead discussions where appropriate to clarify objectives for the business and analyses. Manage projects from business requirement development through to rollout and ensure that all timelines are met. Establish clear and accurate objective for each project. Work with the Deputy Director of Analytics and internal customers to develop project plans and to identify key milestones. Ensure project plans are followed, communicated, and end product is delivered timely, accurately, and to customer satisfaction. Partner with customers, A&R, and IS reporting teams to ensure dashboards, strategic reports/analysis, and ad hoc information is delivered efficiently to support business needs. Contribute to team validation efforts as needed. Obtain & maintain technical expertise of available analytical tools. Continue to strengthen ability with existing analytical tools and identify potential to utilize new tools and industry standards.

Developing new ideas that translate to real world improvements in the vaccine business. Vaccines are a relatively unexplored area from an analytics perspective, and due to the data challenges in this industry the role will require a great deal of creative, "outside of the box" type thinking to be successful

A Master’s Degree is required in one of the following disciplines: Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Research
1 year experience with one of the following Business Intelligence or Data Analytics tools: SAS Base Programming, Predictive Modeling, Statistical Business Analysis & Regression Analysis or Enterprise Miner (SAS)
PhD. in one of the following disciplines: Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Research
Certifications in SAS Base Programming
SAS Statistical Business Analysis using SAS 9
