The American Medical Association (AMA), the nation’s largest professional Association of physicians, has a dynamic opportunity for the right individual. As part of the Health Solutions team, the Marketing Graphic Designer will conceive, design, and develop unique and imaginative original design concepts in both print and digital promotional materials to drive sales and increase retention of AMA Health Solutions Group (HSG) product offerings.
IN THIS JOB, YOU WILL:
Work simultaneously on multiple projects to design and execute creative files and material for both print and digital deployment to support overall marketing strategy. Produce high quality visual deliverables including multimedia/videos, websites, emails, presentations and infographics. Promote HSG business lines and enhance communication with B2B and B2C current and prospective customers and other important constituents through visual artwork.
Independently illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts. Set up tests to determine optimal size and arrangement of illustrative material, and select style and size of type to achieve highest conversion and retention rates.
Consult with Marketing, Sales and Product team to gather information and materials used to plan creative concepts and ultimately to create cohesive designs that reflect our customer’s needs to achieve business goals.
Follows rigorous process to obtain consent of concept by submitting layout for approval to appropriate stakeholders; while ensuring all AMA brand guidelines are met.
Work with internal and external production vendors to prepare finished files for both print and digital channels.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic or fine arts with concentration in direct marketing required. Advanced degree preferred.
8 years marketing design experience with extensive experience of direct marketing, creative strategy, creative development, and testing strategy.
Conceptual thinker with proven ability to take direction from written or spoken ideas and convert them seamlessly into creative images, print and digital layouts, videos, infographics and other types of print or digital designs. Experience working with marketing team members, i.e. marketing director/manager, copywriter, production manager, photographer, etc.
Ability to follow branding guidelines to ensure AMA brand identity consistency all visual assets across all media must be consistent with established style guidelines.
Extensive experience with production and rendering methods, including drawing, offset printing, photography, interactive media. Experience producing multimedia, short videos and infographics highly desired.
Understanding of WordPress templates, user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design preferred.
Extensive pre-press and printing knowledge required. Knowledge of Web advertising/ promotion design required.
Self-starter who is comfortable working on multiple complex projects simultaneously; ability to work in changing, fast-paced environment with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Exposure to the health care sector preferred.
Detail-oriented, versatile and proactive professional with excellent organizational skills.
