Act as the developmental editor for several alumni and other University publications as well as writer for a variety of alumni print and web publications and BU Today, BU Research, and Bostonia. Develop print and web content, write and edit for alumni magazines, newsletters, annual reports, and other high-profile publications for the majority of the University's schools and colleges and other University constituents. These communications are important vehicles that enable the University to engage with its alumni and other external and internal audiences and to advance BU's development efforts. The Senior Editor/Writer is an experienced journalist with strong developmental editing skills who is able to shape and balance content, and write substantive, in-depth, and institutionally important feature stories about Boston University, its programs, faculty, students, and alumni for the University's top-tier publications. The Senior Editor/Writer is an integral part of a comprehensive creative team, supporting the University's communications and marketing initiatives by developing relevant and engaging content for print and web communications in a style and tone that convey University-wide branding.
Requires: B.A./B.S., Masters Degree preferred, strong communication, writing and editing skills and three to five years of relevant experience.
