The University of Oregon Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a passionate, creative and self-motivated individual for the position of Marketing and Digital Strategy Assistant. This is an 11-month, full-time position which runs from July 2018 to May 2019.
•Develop and implement the marketing efforts for several of the department’s 19 intercollegiate sports •Enhance the game day experience through innovative initiatives by actively researching and developing new grassroots ideas for increasing attendance for assigned sports. •Create and manage digital content to promote Oregon Athletics events to students and the public; create content to support branding and image of Oregon athletics. •Influence and cultivate student attendance for home events •Coordinate undergraduate students’ responsibilities •Work with Communications staff on social media planning and coordination for assigned sports •Producing promotional pieces, including e-mails, flyers, and schedule cards •Managing the Junior Duck Club and ALL of the department’s donation requests •Assisting IMG/Oregon Sports Marketing with promotional efforts and servicing of sponsors •Organizing special events, like Football Fan Day, National Anthem Auditions, and the Duck Birthday Party

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field is required.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are preferred.
Team-oriented and willing to work irregular hours.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively with tight deadlines.
Strong working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and advertising skills preferred.
