Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a Director of Integrated Marketing to develop and execute marketing strategies for the organization in order to enhance brand awareness of MHS as an educational leader, particularly in its whole child approach to successfully break the cycle of poverty. As an employer of choice, MHS expects qualified candidates will be current on best practices in using analytics in development of goals, tactics, and budget. The work of the Director focuses on overall brand strategy as well as the creation and implementation of an integrative approach to admissions and employee recruitment.
This position fosters collaboration and integration among Communications and other departmental leads by coordinating marketing activities with cross-functional team members. The Director ensures that data-driven and market-driven strategies guide content management across a wide range of robust communications channels. The work includes utilizing market segmentation and message testing to ensure effectiveness and supports stakeholder relationship development. This position supervises two direct reports and contributes to a collaborative team challenged to enhance stakeholder engagement through storytelling, photography, design and video production.
The Director enriches creative concept development, implements strategy, and stays current with the dynamic education and non-profit marketplace, as well as evolving marketing technologies to drive effective campaigns. In addition to providing expert guidance on a variety of initiatives to drive awareness and action, the Director also builds strategic external relationships with key stakeholder groups. By blending strategic business skills and marketing creativity, the Director will ensure strategic growth targets are met while striving for diversity in both student and staff recruitment.
-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing required. MBA with a concentration in Marketing preferred.
-At least 10 years of experience leading a Marketing function, preferably in the educational or non-profit sector.
-Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that enhanced organizational branding and enabled organizational goal attainment.
-Thrives on working with tight deadlines, multiple stakeholders, and changing priorities.
-Demonstrated success in the creative aspects or marketing, as well as the analytical aspects.
-Proficiency with Microsoft applications and other applicable software, as well as utilization of applicable Internet resources. Apple experience a plus.
-Exceptional skills in managing and motivating others, as well as successfully working cross-functionally in complex and dynamic settings.
-Demonstrated success in building industry relationships.
-Limited travel required (5 – 10%).
