The Lake Placid Center for the Arts (LPCA) is a year-round performing and visual arts facility. Located in the New York’s Adirondack Park, the LPCA consistently presents arts of the highest caliber including music, dance, circus & theatre performances, film exhibitions and visual arts presentations. In addition, the LPCA provides special arts education programs, workshops and residencies for aspiring and renowned artists.
The LPCA has experienced significant growth over the past five years including an increased operating budget, a renewed commitment to presenting high-caliber artists of all genres, the addition of a second visual arts gallery, and expanding artist-in-residency / arts education programs.
The LPCA is currently seeking an energetic and talented Marketing Manager. Working closely with the Executive Director and staff, this position will work to grow audience awareness and overall income.
The Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the LPCA’s marketing and communications programs - including the budget as well as day-to-day efforts spanning all marketing tactics.
A successful candidate should possess strong administrative skills, excellent time management, be comfortable working unsupervised and be a responsible self-starter.
College degree or equivalent experience.
An eye for creating and developing strong visuals that provide exposure to mission-based programming and education initiatives.
Strong administrative computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of social media platforms.
Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional and polished demeanor in phone, e-mail and in-person communication.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Experience with a ticketing or development CRM (PatronManager preferred).

The LPCA was founded in 1972 by Nettie Marie Jones, whose generosity and vision provided not only the 2.4 acres and the buildings on which the Arts Center grew, but also the guiding force behind its programming. It is the only year-round complex for the arts in the North Country region serving over 30,000 residents and visitors annually.
