SUMMARY: The Membership and Marketing Assistant carries out various projects within the membership department related to membership data management and reporting, membership benefits, and marketing of membership categories.
Maintains the membership database system (which tracks membership data, membership dues and updates) in the following manner:
Handles all requests for membership forms and related information, including new member packets.
Enters membership dues information for AAPD.
Processes new member applications.
Maintains membership files in the database and in paper format.
Prepares and analyzes BOXI reports of membership data for planning and marketing purposes.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of the ACGI Associations Anywhere AMS (association management software) as related to membership functions.
Supports other membership projects as needed.
Administers the Certificate of Merit Award.
Processes orders and payments for mailing labels.
Supports the AAPD Fellowship Program including processing of applications, payment, and certificates.
Assists with the development of materials informing members of various membership benefits.
Assists with the development of recruitment materials for membership categories with potential for growth such as Affiliate, Allied, and International Colleague.
The Membership and Marketing Assistant must possess strong written and oral communications skills and sound interpersonal skills, and an interest in association membership functions.
