Under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Systems and Operations, and with a dotted line to the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing, the Enrollment Marketing Writer is responsible for the writing and execution of a comprehensive enrollment communication plan with differentiated messaging to multiple populations throughout the enrollment cycle. The Enrollment Marketing Writer incumbent is primarily responsible for crafting and executing all communications related to helping students and families move through the RWU enrollment process from recruitment to admission to financial aid and through new student transition and first semester enrollment. The Enrollment Marketing Writer will have a thorough understanding of the admission process, and the technical aptitude to leverage the CRM system strategically and effectively.
Marketing Communications and Strategy
Draft all marketing communications for all audiences (prospective students, parents, applicants, accepted students, enrolling students, etc) and for any channel: email, text, social print, web, digital. Assure that all marketing messages are launched to the appropriate audience at the appropriate time.
Write copy for brochures and event-related materials.
Collaborate on the development of marketing and communication strategy.
Communicate with stakeholders, both on and off campus, to collect information for marketing copy.
Support the admission department, financial aid department, and other departments and needs as assigned.
Communication Execution and Analysis
Build and execute all communications in the CRM.
Use queries to select the appropriate populations for each communication.
Understand and use liquid markup, drip campaign strategy, and A/B testing to maximize efficacy of communications.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of our communications and communication campaigns by assessing analytics.
Establish a thorough understanding of RWU enrollment processes in order to draft all process communications for all audiences and for any channel.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand enrollment-related processes and requirements and effectively communicate these with the appropriate audience(s).
Recruitment and Admission Support
Participate in recruitment activities as assigned.
Participate in application review activities as assigned.
Understand and communicate the institutional message with groups and individuals.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Minimum of two years of marketing writing experience.
Proficiency with MS Office products, CRM system functionality and email communication software.
Must be a highly organized, detail oriented individual who can prioritize independently and manage multiple tasks at once.
Experience with data analysis, research and incorporating the results into communication activities.
