Marketing Manager

Purpose of Position: Plans and implements marketing initiatives for the colleges and Admissions (undergrad & grad) in line with the University's strategic plan and brand. Works with Senior Marketing Manager on development of new program/degree launches. Provides strategic counsel, direction and guidance to colleges to ensure marcomm objectives are met and measured via integrated plans aligned with the strategic plan. Works to champion, align and integrate the brand throughout the University. Shares best practices with Marketing & Communications colleagues, as well as other marketing-oriented stakeholders across campus. Helps marcomm specialist and social media specialists with events marketing planning and execution. Primary Responsibilities : Manages and develops relationships with key leaders from the colleges, programs and departments. Proactively recommends and develops marketing strategies/plans to achieve goals, including increases in enrollment and college-sponsored events. Leads marketing initiatives based on identified needs and requirements. Leverages University strategy to maximize brand and efficiencies while increasing alignment. Collaborates with senior marketing manager and social media specialist to implement marketing initiatives. Tracks and measures results of marketing campaigns and activities to determine ROI. Works with Senior Marketing Manager on best way to report on these activities. Collaborates with the marketing team, internal creative team and communications team to develop and produce signature university-wide integrated marketing strategies and campaigns, including digital, content and revenue-oriented projects. Works with Director of Marketing and Senior Marketing Manager to identify opportunities and challenges for NKU, develop and recommend marketing strategies to achieve university-wide goals, and focuses on our achievements in higher education. Researches higher education recruitment and enrollment trends, gather information about higher education institutions marketing strategies. Stay abreast of competitive environment, advances in higher education, and technology to strengthen the market. Qualifications : Bachelors degree preferable in marketing, business or communications and three years of related experience required. This position manages priorities for multiple colleges, programs and/or departments. Must be able to work independently. This person is a brand ambassador and represents the MarComm team widely across the university. Must have the ability to travel and work nights if required for specific events or projects. Professionalism and exceptional client service is fully expected. Ability to articulate and communicate effective high-level marketing strategy is required.
