Under broad managerial direction plans, directs, and coordinates the marketing and communication of the organization's products and/or services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Leads marketing, communications, member services, and public/media relations functions.
Manages the association’s annual public image campaign, including developing messaging strategy and coordinating execution of advertising, sponsorship and media relations tactics.
Oversees the development of marketing and communications materials to support the objectives of the Association and affiliate companies, including, but not limited to, websites, advertisements, brochures, newsletters, special publications, videos and social media content.
Manages and implements IBA marketing products and services, including, but not limited to, IBA Bank Club program, calendar program, Directory of Financial Institutions, bank marketing and community betterment awards programs, and financial literacy programs.
Manages associate and endorsed vendor partnerships and programs. Oversees sales and execution of associate member sponsorships and advertising. Reviews and recommends endorsed vendor programs and agreements.
Manages bank membership marketing events and programs, including annual membership mailings and Chairman’s Cup Golf Tournament.
Manages media relations programs. Writes and edits news releases, articles, opinion pieces and other materials. Responds to media inquiries in a timely manner. Tracks and evaluates media impressions. Coordinates media training for key leaders as needed.
Serves as staff liaison to IBA Marketing Committee.
Manages marketing and communications department staff and performance management function.
Develops and administers marketing and communications department budget.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
five to ten years related experience and/or training in marketing, journalism and communications; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
