The University of Nevada Athletics department is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in Marketing and Promotions. The Marketing Graduate Assistant will work closely with all facets of game-day event planning and implementation. Tasks include pre-event planning and advertising, ticket sales, event preparation including set up and tear down, game day script writing, production and management.
All duties and responsibilities will be assigned with the end goal of increasing attendance at Nevada athletic events, representing and promoting The University of Nevada athletics brand and increasing revenue for the department.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing all marketing responsibilities of select sports; developing and implementing marking plans, promotional schedules and ticket sales campaigns as well as all aspects of game presentation (scripts, promotions, entertainment, etc.)
Executing group sales plan to increase attendance through community outreach efforts (emphasis on emails and calls to past groups as well as creatively targeting new prospects)
Overseeing the special marketing programs. (i.e. Pup Club)
Establishing effective on-campus marketing efforts (i.e. presence at student orientations)
Assisting with coordination of various athletics communication mediums (i.e. Weekly student emails,)
Other duties as assigned (i.e. assistance with social media, Wolf Pack App)
Admittance into a University of Nevada graduate program
Knowledge of and prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics
Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented
