Position Summary: The Director of Enrollment Marketing is responsible for directing and managing all aspects of enrollment marketing to prospective and currently enrolled students including strategic development and implementation of an enrollment marketing plan to help recruit and retain university students. The director will develop a strategic enrollment marketing communications plan and ensure implementation; supervise a team of enrollment marketing staff and contribute to Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) team efforts while working collaboratively with the University Communications and Marketing (UCM) team to ensure the University of Idaho's brand standards, marketing strategy and messaging guidelines are consistently followed and maintained. The Director of Enrollment Marketing is part of the university's marketing team and has a direct reporting line to the university's Executive Director of Communications and Marketing with day-to-day responsibilities set and managed by the Assistant Vice Provost for Strategic Enrollment Management.
Experience working in enrollment marketing, general marketing management, event planning and promotion, communications, or a related field
Experience supervising and managing staff
Experience developing and overseeing the successful implementation of complex and multi-channel marketing campaigns
Experience writing, editing and producing effective audience-specific marketing materials
Experience making decisions in a work environment
Experience working with diverse teams toward a common goal under tight deadlines
Excellent written communication skills
Experience working in higher education marketing or comparable competitive marketing environment
Experience with marketing campaign development within a Customer Relations Management (CRM) system such as Slate or Salesforce
3 or more years of experience in enrollment marketing
Strong verbal communication skills
Experience developing and managing project budgets
Experience managing external vendors
Experience overseeing marketing creative development
Experience marketing events and other in-person experiences
Demonstrated dependability and strong work ethic
Demonstrated leadership capability and team-oriented management style
