Functioning as a member of the Marketing and Communications team, the Senior Marketing Project Manager will work under the guidance of the Director of Marketing Strategy to write, develop, and implement strategic marketing plans for Rush. Execution of the marketing plans includes, project management of publications, direct mail, advertising, Web content, and other marketing. To ensure these projects and activities are effective in achieving established marketing goals, the Senior Marketing Project Manager works collaboratively with members of the Marketing and Communications team, including staff in editorial/publications, public relations, Web communications, social media and graphic design as well as leadership throughout the medical center. The Senior Marketing Project Manager works with people from all disciplines and all levels across the system as well as with vendors and community representatives outside of Rush to accomplish these objectives. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Works with the Director of Marketing Strategy to write and develop strategic marketing and communications plans for several service lines and programs in collaboration with marketing and communications colleagues, administrators, and leadership to achieve the goals and objectives of each plan.
Manages the implementation of marketing plans and projects for services and programs of the medical center to achieve the goals and objectives of each plan, working with the marketing and communications creative team. Implements broader Rush marketing communications strategies included in the Rush strategic plan.
Works with the Director of Marketing and AVP to plan CRM strategies. Executes CRM campaigns and projects, which includes mailings, distribution and circulation of Rush marketing communications materials, targeting appropriate audiences using the technology and information available to the marketing and communications department, including the Customer Relationship Management system.
Works with the AVP, director of marketing and ad agency on the Rush branding campaign, which includes TV, radio, videos, Web, sports marketing, and other advertising projects.
Manages projects to stay within budget. Tracks expenses for the marketing plans in order to stay within the allocated marketing and communications budget.
Assists and serves as back-up for other marketing and communications staff to move projects forward as needed.

Position Qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field required.
Minimum of eight years of experience in Marketing or Communications.
Hospital/medical center experience preferred.
CRM and project management experience.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with colleagues within the medical center, internal, and external clients.
Works effectively with Rush staff at all levels.
Exceptional organizational skills and detail-orientation.
Creativity, resourcefulness, and computer skills required.
Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
Works occasional off-shift hours and weekends.
