Albright College invites applications and nominations for the position of Head Field Hockey Coach and Director of Athletics Marketing. This is a full-time, twelve-month position in the Athletics Department. Albright is an NCAA Division III member institution as well as a member of the Middle Atlantic conference (MAC), the Commonwealth Conference, and the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
Responsibilities: The head coach, in collaboration with athletic administration, assistant coaches, and support personnel, is responsible for the overall administration of the field hockey program. The program is expected to reflect the highest standards of ethical conduct and comply with NCAA, Middle Atlantic Conference, and ECAC specific governance. The head coach is responsible for all aspects of the field hockey program including, but not limited to, teaching and training, general program management, counseling and advising student-athletes, budget management, and the recruitment and retention of student-athletes. In addition the candidate will be Director of Athletics Marketing. This role involves soliciting outside constituents for marketing opportunities in athletics. This includes, but not limited to, two athletics golf outings. Additional related athletic duties may be assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, a successful coaching career, an understanding of the role of athletics in a Division III academic institution, excellent communication skills, superior leadership and organizational abilities, and a demonstrated ability to recruit academically successful student-athletes.
