The primary purpose of this position is to plan, implement and evaluate the marketing and communication strategies aligned with the College's mission and strategic plan; and to manage and coordinate the internal and external communications for the College across the three administrative offices (Dean's Office, Student Services, Center for Interdisciplinary Teaching & Learning). This position's responsibilities include the following functions: developing website and social media content; strategic planning and branding; external marketing materials and publications development; internal communications and materials development; management and administrative duties; and public relations and special events. In this capacity, this position works closely with the CGS deans, faculty, staff, students, parents, and alumni; and with departments across campus to ensure the quality and efficacy of the College's internal and public presence. Skills and qualifications include strong project management, writing, and communication skills; experience with graphic design and using AdobeSuite, including InDesign and Photoshop; and experience managing a website and social media channels.
B.A./B.S. - communications, public/media relations, or marketing preferred. Superior writing, editing, and oral communication skills. Knowledge of website editing (e.g., WordPress), video filming & editing, industry standard graphic design software, (e.g., Adobe Creative Suites), digital editing, social media, (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Snap Chat, You Tube, etc.), and Microsoft Office. Strong project management skills, including well- developed interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills. Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to work as part of a team. Three to five years of related experience required.
