The Coordinator of Marketing & Communications will develop communication strategies, key messages and content for integrated marketing communications collateral, leading projects in a project management role, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Additionally, serving as a team member for internal clients, the Coordinator of Marketing & Communications will create content for multiple channels (print, web, social) and applications, conducting interviews and research as needed.
The Coordinator will also develop news, media relations, and thought leadership programs to enhance the public profile and reputation of the Institute for Prevention and RWJBarnabas Health.
1) Develops Marketing and Communications plan to support Strategic Marketing Plans and the strategic initiatives for Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention.
Develops content for brochures, flyers and educational material for patient and employees.
Supports, promotes and manages special events and conferences in support of strategic marketing objectives.
Promotes special events for Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention.
Assists with Strategic Marketing Plan development
2) Internal/Employee Communications
Writes executive messages for internal and external publications
Develops/writes executive speeches/talking points
Plans and develops employee communication programs in coordination with Director and Corporate Internal Communications team
Plans and develops physician communication programs in coordination with Director
3) Public Relations
Identifies stories and writes/edits/manages news releases and feature stories.
Collaborates with Director of Service Line Marketing and Communications and Corporate Media Relations in all media outreach and communication.
Manages VOCUS platform for Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention.
4) Interactive and Social Media
Plans and develops content for websites and social media in collaboration with Director and Corporate Interactive Services.
Maintain and update information on Barnabas Health Institute for Prevention website.
Manages the e-communication platform, Constant Contact.
Bachelor s Degree with a concentration in Communications, Journalism or English
Must have at least 5 years or equivalent of all-around marketing & communications experience preferable in behavioral health and healthcare
Events planning and management experience a plus
