Summary of Duties: The marketing writer is responsible for researching, writing and editing promotional, marketing and public relations materials that advance the reputation of Washington State University and help WSU meet project and institutional goals. The marketing writer serves as the lead writer for marketing collateral used for student recruitment and other enrollment management efforts. The position is responsible for researching and writing original content for print, online and digital collateral used specifically to target prospective WSU students across the system and the Pullman campus. This collateral includes feature stories, brochures, advertisements, electronic communications, video scripts, web pages and other marketing collateral. The marketing writer also oversees the writing, editing and production of the marketing copy for various WSU institutional marketing materials.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelors degree in public relations, communications, marketing or other relevant field AND two (2) years of professional experience in print OR broadcast news media, public relations, marketing including the use of electronic media or two (2) years of other relevant professional experience.
