We are looking for an experienced VP of Sales and Marketing who will be responsible for leading and directing the sales, marketing, reservations and revenue management functions of East West Hospitality (EWH). We are looking for someone who will be passionate about visualizing our future and implementing strategy to actualize that vision. This person will drive our business forward through leveraging technology and staying curious about the future of sales and marketing trends. This person will manage, uphold, and drive EWH brand, distribution channels, and sales and marketing efforts of the company.

Identify and implement strategic initiatives for EWH’s sales and marketing efforts.
Identify and implement technology and digital solutions to drive our business forward.
Motivate, lead and align a cohesive, engaged team and work collaboratively with leaders from across departments and divisions in order to meet company objectives.
Generate and present innovative and strategic sales and marketing recommendations to EWH Executive Committee.
Recommend annual revenue objectives for each division, and work with each division with the development of a Strategic Marketing Plan to achieve its objective. Each plan should identify strategies which address target audiences, distribution channels, digital marketing, social media, database marketing/CRM, pricing, sales and budget allocations.
Monitor on an ongoing basis the execution of each plan, and ensure that corrective actions are taken when actual revenues fall below the revenue objectives.
Monitor each division’s monthly expenses versus budget.
Assist in the development or update of East West Hospitality’s business plan.
Work with the Executive Committee to strengthen East West Hospitality’s overall brand positioning and each division’s identity within its market.
While leveraging the current relationships with Airbnb, VRBO and HomeAway, develop a strategy to encourage consumers to book directly.
Monitor guest satisfaction and loyalty survey results – overall as well as by generation, household income and visit frequency. Share this learning and the implications to marketing and operations with each division. The guest experience drives repeat and referral business, the two primary sources of rental revenue.
Ensure the divisions’ websites are branded and share a familiar look.
Ensure compliance with Brand Standards throughout the company.
Evaluate the divisions’ creative efforts and provide input to the Directors of Sales & Marketing.
Collaborate with the Directors of Sales & Marketing, internal technology and systems resources, and selected vendors to determine the effectiveness and ROI of digital marketing/social media campaigns.
Represent East West Hospitality at trade shows and conferences, when appropriate.
Share the learning and Best Practices in one division with the other divisions. Ensure that the sales and marketing efforts are aligned across the divisions to capture synergies and avoid working in silos.
Participate in the recruitment, hiring, training and career development of key departmental staff at each division.
Serve as a member of East West Hospitality’s Executive Committee.
Participate in the due diligence evaluation of potential acquisitions.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in hospitality management, business, or marketing.
Ten years business experience, including a minimum of three years combined experience as a lodging company’s director of marketing and/or director of sales and marketing, with responsibility for digital marketing, social media, database marketing/customer relationship management, revenue management and distribution channel management (including OTA’s, Airbnb and private rentals);
OR ten years business experience with four years experience working for a digital marketing company serving lodging companies.
Experience with Multi-unit hotel/lodging and vacation rental management is desirable.
