The Department of Economics and Business at Gordon College invites applications for a full-time, three-year assistant or associate appointment with an emphasis in marketing. Position to begin August 2020. Rank commensurate with experience.
This position offers the opportunity to shape our growing marketing concentration for business students. Principal teaching responsibilities will include courses such as principles of marketing, marketing electives related to the candidate’s area of expertise, and small business management. The ability to teach business statistics would be a plus. The teaching load is 4-4.
Additional faculty responsibilities include advising students, service on college committees, and academic research or active engagement in the practice of marketing.
The Department of Economics and Business offers majors in business administration (with concentrations in marketing, management, and international business), accounting, finance, and economics.
The ideal candidate will have:
Ph.D. or D.B.A. in marketing, or a Master’s degree and significant professional marketing experience
Potential for or demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching
Evidence of or the potential for a promising publication record or leadership in the practice of marketing
A personal commitment to Christianity, the Christian mission of the College, and the integration of faith and learning in the classroom
