Job Summary
In collaboration with the College of Undergraduate Studies (CUS) Director of Admissions, CUS Admissions senior staff, and the University Communications department, the Marketing Specialist will help create and execute marketing initiatives and specific campaigns in three key areas of our marketing strategy: (1) targeted territory, program, and profile recruitment (2) third party and lead vendor advertising (3) social engagement via our social networks, mobile engagement, and digital advertising. The chosen candidate will also conceptualize, develop, and execute content for our physical and digital campaigns, directly manage our lead and search vendor relationships, and create paid search campaigns. Duties and Responsibilities - Collaborate with the Director of Admissions and senior staff to develop strategic marketing initiatives and execute campaigns across multiple communication channels including direct mail, digital, social and mobile.
- Develop concepts and content for specific marketing campaigns including writing, editing, and proofing content. Define populations and schedule campaign.
- Manage and maintain up-to-date marketing collateral content, including updates and changes for all direct mail communication flow, letters generated for prospective students and parents, and recruitment.
- Review print and digital content and request necessary updates and changes. Work directly with University Communications to communicate changes, create and manage work orders, proof and approve content, and manage final proofing and approvals through senior management team. Work collaboratively with Communication Specialist to align digital content with print materials.
- Manage CUS social media channels.
- Generate and maintain engaging content published through Salesforce and prospective student portals.
- Work directly with Director of Admissions and Associate Director of Recruitment to define and initiate targeted recruitment campaigns for specific territories, states, majors/programs, and student profiles.
- Manage and develop on-air content, advertising, and annual radio buy via multiple vendors/partners.
- Manage branding and advertising engaged through multiple lead vendor relationships ensuring updated content and accurate major/program offerings.
- Create and manage mobile messaging utilizing SMS and text automation solutions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
