JOB SUMMARY:
To develop and execute growth marketing strategies for assigned Geisinger institutes and platforms.
Establishes effective relationships with institute and platform leadership to work toward a shared purpose by collaborating, partnering and cooperating with others to accomplish goals.
Assists with marketing planning, research and analysis to develop a comprehensive marketing positioning strategy for assigned institutes and platforms. Utilizes analytical and critical thinking to interpret data and understand and respond to industry and market trends as they relate to relevant clients. Understands institute, platform and department business plans and growth goals.
Works collaboratively with a cross-functional team to develop and execute integrated strategic marketing plans to drive customer acquisition, retention and engagement for Institutes, core clinical service lines and platforms.
Monitors and evaluates marketing strategies, plans, messaging, and programs to maximize revenue growth and market share.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
STRATEGY:
1. Helps develop proactive marketing strategies, marketing plans and initiatives to attract and retain customers (patients and members) to Geisinger, support business strategies for assigned Geisinger clinical institutes and local platform. 2. Understands the business objectives of the organization – at the system, institute and platform level and apply that understanding to marketing strategy development. 3. Identifies, evaluates and recommends geographic market and product/service opportunities based on market need. Convert those needs into value-added marketing communication strategy through a team approach with institute and platform leadership. 4. Keeps abreast of the regional competitive environment, clinical advances, technological enhancements and industry trends. 5. Alerts marketing director of issues that may negatively affect Geisinger’s brand or services in the region.
OPERATIONS:
6. Works with dedicated project managers for implementation of specific marketing plans. 7. Tracks and reports return on investment. Metrics might include: new patients, number of referrals, revenue generated, enhanced perception, number of media hits, ad equivalency, attendees, and/or web hits.
COLLABORATION:
8. Manages expectations for department stakeholder/clients (institute and platform dyad leaders, program leaders). Develops collaborative working relationships with leadership. 9. Fosters a collaborative working relationship with AVP, directors, and department peers to create cross-functional teams in support of marketing plan implementation. 10. Works collaboratively with strategy and business development team, Geisinger Health Plan team and other key partners to align marketing effort with business objectives.
Maintains excellent working relationship with institute and platform leadership, managers, staff, and physicians.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, Interactive technology, Marketing, New-Media or related field; minimum five years’ experience.
Must be familiar with both social and new media.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment.
