To this end, we are seeking a Marketing Coordinator with strong communication skills and an interest in academic publishing and marketing. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, a strong attention to detail, and an enthusiasm to learn. Reporting to the Executive Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will be a member of the Books Marketing Team, responsible for day-to-day support of key marketing and administrative functions across the department. As a member of the Books Marketing team this person will work collaboratively with marketing, sales, and publicity colleagues to effectively promote and position our books program.

Job Close Date:
Coordinates, books, tracks, and delivers digital and print advertising to support the books program. Administers tactical calendar deadlines and technical details for timely delivery of advertising and project creative assets. Books all advertising placements, including print, digital, underwriting, and program ads for non-staffed meetings. Coordinates co-op advertising requirements with sales. Sources and coordinates with vendors for promotional pieces.
Job Requirements BA or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Product Suite, with an interest and ability in learning new software and web-based programs; proficiency with HTML a plus.
Minimum of 1-2 years in marketing, sales, or publishing.
Basic comprehension of marketing principles and techniques.
Enthusiasm for publishing, media, and being a part of a mission-driven workplace.
Ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines with flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to details and a proven ability to complete work within deadlines.
Ability to learn and effectively use proprietary and vendor applications for tracking, reporting, and day-to-day maintenance of marketing workflow.
Motivated team player who enjoys working collaboratively within a small, fast-paced team.
Basic knowledge of the organization, including its vision, mission, goals, objectives, achievements, and infrastructure. Required
Previous administrative experience working in a marketing and/or publishing environment; or equivalent experience preferred. Preferred
