Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus institution with vibrant, urban campuses in Boston, Massachusetts, in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts, and at several satellites and instructional sites throughout the Greater Boston area. The position will report to the Director of Communications and Digital Content within the Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) division.
Assist the Digital Communications team with the maintenance and new content development of the BHCC institutional website. This website is built in TerminalFour Web Content Management System (CMS). Administrator training will be provided but the candidate must have some CMS experience.
Assist in the website content review cycle process and the online catalog process with the Digital Communications team and content stakeholders.
Synthesize information from a number of different areas of the College to write and edit professional internal communications.
Assist with the creation of the BHCC Updates - the College's weekly email newsletter.
Write and edit content for the BHCC website, social media, internal communications and other mediums.
Assist with the maintenance of social media for the College and the ongoing review of BHCC's social media sites to ensure that they adhere to BHCC's social media guidelines.
Assist the Director of Communications and Digital Content in the creation of engaging social media campaigns
Work collaboratively with the Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) team to ensure that all internal and external marketing and communications reflects consistent and timely on-brand messages.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Digital Communications, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Minimum 2-5 years related experience.
A demonstrated experience with various tools of digital technology and communications, including content management systems; and marketing and outreach tools such as Google Analytics, Twitter, and Facebook; design experience is a plus
Self-starter who can work individually and as a collaborative member of a team required.
Flexibility to handle changing priorities and the ability to thrive and work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required.
Understanding of the web publishing process, use of images and video, search optimization, and an eye for effective web layout.
Proven ability to work with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
