The Director, Provider Business Development is responsible for developing an organizational growth strategy through relationship building with internal and external physicians. This director will lead initiatives to expand Keck Medicine of USCâs referral footprint for prioritized programs and servicelines. The responsible leader will analyze and monitor the external and internal environment, partnering with system leadership to ensure the referral process is as seamless and customer-focused, as possible. The director will serve as a Keck Medicine of USC physician advocate; developing strong physician relationships between providers internally in various Keck Medicine organizations, as well as with external community providers, IPAs, medical groups and health plans to grow existing programs. This position will advise on the potential of new or expanded services that address the continuum of care based on market trends. This role will develop annual plans based on data, market influences and system growth objectives â ensuring a culture focused on physician engagement, strong referrals and loyalty.
Minimum Education:â¢Bachelorâs degree; Masterâs PreferredMinimum Experience/Knowledge:REQUIRED: â¢Minimum 10 years of experience in physician relations, sales, recruitment or related experience.â¢Demonstrated experience of a results-driven sales approach.â¢Knowledge of the principles and practices in healthcare clinical operations, including thorough knowledge of staff management, budgeting and planning. â¢Record of successfully building and maintaining physician relationships.â¢Analytical expertise, with experience in market, financial, operational and demographic data analysisâ¢Experience in presenting ideas that lead to buy-in and ongoing engagement.â¢Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on growth plans.â¢Problem-solving and conflict negotiation skillsâ¢History of team development, with a result-oriented focusâ¢Ability to manage sensitive issues and demonstrate strong professional ethics.â¢Understanding of and experience in technology platforms necessary to track engagement and results.â¢Ability to work across an organization with a variety of leaders to guide improvements and clear operational hurdles that might otherwise hamper growth.PREFERRED: â¢Progressively responsible management level experience in a healthcare environment. â¢Understanding of community medicine and medical groups, as well as payor strategies. â¢Familiarity with the Southern California healthcare market and its various geographies.
